That title applies to this week in more ways than one, and no, we did not accidentally light something on fire! Yet this week was straight fire!
Shout outs
1. Ryker! Had a sick header, or what he would call a facer, off a corner kick at his soccer game!
2. Kenney is looking to go to the hall of fame for kpoo! Get it!
Brann Game!
This Saturday was awesome! We got to do a ton of fun things! First we went on a hike with some of the people that we have met, and it was a great opportunity to get to know them better! Next we played floor hockey with the youth, but the cherry on top had to be the Bergen Brann game. We went with a member from bergen who bought us some tickets! It was way fun, and I loved being back in a sports arena and getting to feel the energy! The Brann section was crazy though... They had at least 20 different chants, and they would just keep rotating through them. I learned a few of them. Sadly Brann lost 3-2, but it was still way fun!
YSA Activity
We were in charge of the YSA activity this week and it was sooooo much fun! We did the game where you had to put the cookie on your forhead and then get it into your mouth, but made it a relay race! Next we played a name game where you have to name a something that fall into a specific category, and if you repeat what someone else has said then you are out. After that we did a quiz game. Then made them eat lemons and whistle! it was soooooooo much fun!
Aleksandra!
FINALLY!!! WE FOUND SOMEONE TO TEACH! She studying here from Ukraine, and has grown up with a faith in God and Christ! We are going to teach her tomorrow! Wish us good luck!
Henry's Hus
WOW!!! Henry's Hus is the best! We have been making so many new friends, that have gotten to know us as normal people, and guess what is happening now? Because we have normal fun relationships with them, they are starting to ask us questions about the church!! WHAT?!?!!? Wow, just a great day yesterday!
I thought this week a lot about Peter walking on water, and something hit me that I had not realized before. When Peter walks to the Savior, he can walk on the water all alone, no problem. However when he begins to sink the Savior has to save him. The thing is how did Peter get back to the boat? I doubt the Savior carried him. In fact I believe that the Savior took him by the hand, or put his arm around his shoulder, and walked Peter back to the boat. I thought that our faith is very similar to this story. Sometimes we can walk fearlessly towards the Savior in the midst of a storm, no problem. However, sometimes we will need him by our side, to take is in his hands and walking us back to the safety of the boat until we are strong enough to try again. That is what this life is all about. Learning to keep our focus on the Savior so we can emulate him. Just as Peter walked on water following the example of our Savior, if we keep our lives centered on Christ we too will do the things that he did!
BEST WEEK OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!! So you should read it actually!
