Ever since the dawn of the Norway Oslo mission, missionaries have set out on a quest. A quest that over the years has given different results. What is this quest? Is it to find the best way to do missionary work? What approaches to use? Close, but not quite. The quest is... Which kebab is the best in Norway? Although i do not claim to have THE answer I do have A answer, based on my own personal quest.
As most of you know currently I am serving in Porsgrunn. Porsgrunn is commonly known in the mission for having one of the best kebabs, namely Gulset Kebab. The other city claiming to have the best kebab is Moss, or Campinos kebab. I thouhgt I would never have the opportunity to try the legendary Campinos kebab, but the opportunity arose when Elder Greenwood went to Bergen for a baptism and I went to Moss for splits. After having eaten the Campinos kebab, I came to a conclusion. The best kebab in Norway is Gulset. For several reasons:
1. Gulset has better Sauce and Meat.
2. Campinos had the wrong meat to vegetable ratio, too much salad.
3. Gulset has a more filling kebab, more bang for your buck.
4. Campinos kebab was way too dry.
Alright we did a whole lot more this week than just eating kebab, and honestly kebab is just one of those things that you have to be i Norway to understand! Anyways let's get to the missionary side of things!
Missionary Work
1. We were not able to get too much accomplished this week in Porsgrunn because... well we were not really in porsgrunn at all this week! hahah
2. Moss was pretty fun! We did a lot of contacting and knocking on doors, which I will never complain about doing. A nice JW lady answered the door and we were able to explain a lot about what we believe to her. It was really cool because earlier that day I had been studying in John, and John ends his gospel with this verse "25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen." I was able to remember that verse and share it with her and explain that the Book of Mormon is one of those books, and that God has not ceased to speak to man today! She took a book, and told us that she was still convinced that her church was correct, but that she would read and pray. We did our jobs there!
3. Had a good time in Moss with Elder Fryer, he was in Kristiansund while I was in Trondheim. Good to catch up and get some work done.
4. Arinze came with us to the Top's home on Wednesday and it was awesome. We had a great dinner followed by a short discussion on studying the scriptures. Afterwards they let Arinze play the guitar for us. That then triggered a 30 minutes impromptu music recital where everyone just took turns playing instruments and having a good time. It was incredible and I think Arinze is starting to realize that we are his friends whether he joins the church or not!

5. While Contacting in Moss we met two Americans, and it was great to talk with them! Sometimes I miss the good ol' American dialect!
This week was a little weird with traveling and all that stuff, but it was a pretty fun week as well. I am loving being a missionary, and it seems everyday brings a new learning opportunity! The scripture "...we will prove them herewith, to see if they will do all things whatsoever the Lord their God shall command them." Sometimes it is not always easy or even comfortable to follow God's commandments, but if we expect to be able to pull down power from heaven then we need to be willing to lay aside comfort, fear, and laziness to follow the Lord's commandments exactly!
Love y'all and hope y'all have a great week!
