Zone Leader Emeritus-Trondheim Week Eighty

Yes ladies and gentlemen the day has finally arrived! Elder Shanklin will be leaving Trondheim and will be headed to Porsgrunn as... Senior Companion. I will be with an incredible new missionary named Elder Barnes who is from England. I have no idea what his accent is going to do to my English or my Norwegian, but it should be pretty fun!

Weather in Trondheim

Holy smokes... The weather was crazy... It goes like this. Sunshine and partly cloudy, to cloudy. to rain, to heavy rain with wind, to light snow, to heavy snow, to sideways snow with wind that will blind you if you try to look up. Hahahaha! The weather was insane! It gets dark at around 3-4 o clock everyday and gets light at around 11. There was  news article that over the past 2 months Trondheim has had 6 minutes of direct sunlight. I mean who needs the sun anyways?!?

Bodø Splits

Bodø came this week and it was totally crazy fun! Elder Chew and I got a little lost on the way to a middag and found a gratis butikk, which translate to free store. By the looks of the store the only free thing there was a free mugging. We decided against the idea of going in and had a great middag with a wonderful Older Sister in the ward. She even gave a me a christmas present at the end! I also wanted to show Elder Chew a little bit of trondheim so during our contacting we made our way to the bank to take some sick pictures! Way fun splits!

I have been studying a lot about submitting our will to the Lord's. One of the greatest skills that we gain in this life. As a missionary this skill is crucial, and something I love doing. Not only to I grow and learn, but as I work more and more I begin to understand the Lord's will more and choose it without having to pray or be led. I am excited to go to Porsgrunn and learn the Lord's plan for this area and see what I can do to help!
