Did You Know That Jehovah Is Jesus? -Porsgrunn Week Eighty One

Our Jehovah witness friends found that out in the first few seconds of President Tew talking in our lesson. It actually went really well, but no more spoilers.

This week was a great week! Hit the ground running here in Porsgrunn! Literally I got off the plane and later that night we had a middag, institute, and then a teach! WOW!

Question
Tell me about your new companion?
Elder Barnes comes from Evesham, England. He has been on his mission for 5 months. He has taken really good care of Porsgrunn! He is a really good cook, we had some bomb enchiladas the other night. He likes water sports, and I have a learned a lot about England from him!
How was church?
Church was super fun! I introduced myself in church, and actually got to see the Finnerud family from Drammen! Nice to see some familiar faces. The ward is awesome, there were about 50 people in sacrament meeting.
What is the ward like?
Really it is just a small ward. You have families, old people, and ysa. Just in reduced numbers!
What is the area like you serve in? City or Country?
A little bit of both, it does not take long to get to either one of those! That makes it perfect for banking or contacting!
Do you have a car?
Yes :)
How many other missionaries are serving their?
We have the sisters in Skien and the District Leader is in Tønsberg. About an hour north of us.
Do you have a senior couple?
Nope. The ward takes care of us!

Jonathon, Anika, and Eva meet El Presidente

Well the highlight of the week was definitely this. On Saturday President Tew came to Porsgrunn to deliver 500 books of Mormon, and study with us. Our study session actually turned into a preparation for the lesson with Jonathon, Anika, and Eva who are all Jehovah Witnesses. President Tew was amazing on the teach. We explained to them so many principles, but the one we touched on most was that the Book of Mormon can not be proven biblicaly, historically, or in any physical way. The only way to really know the Book of Mormon is true is through the spirit, and then we receive further confirmation through the bible and other historical things. The best part of it all is that they all actually read in the Book of Mormon! I have never taught a JW that has read! THIS IS HUGE!!! We are super excited to see where everything takes us with these three friends!

Henry's Hus
Last night we went to help the Red Cross at Henry's hus. Which we thought was a center for youth. Well actually we were going there to be part of a language fellowship group. A place for people to practice Norwegian and try to get to know others in their community. It was really fun to talk to people from all over the world and trade stories with them! A lot of people were amazed that I could speak Norwegian and I had only been here about a year and a half. Lots of fun times though!

Well folks, I am runnin out of time! We went sledding today and had a blast with the district sledding today!
