Name that song! It pretty accurately described this week as well! hahaha! This week brought back a lot of good memories. Had to say good bye to some really awesome missionaries this week!
Rudolph Video of Eldste Shanklin
Elder Stephenson played the piano for a lot of the meeting, so I just chilled with the little kids in the back and had a good time. I have a lot of pictures on my camera now because on of the little girls wanted to take some pictures so I let her use mine. She actually took so really good pictures! There is potential in the Trondheim ward for photography!
Therefore the shoutouts of the week are definitely for those missioanries:
1. My amazing trainer Elder Rumsey! What a stud! Goin back to Good ol' Idaho and takin it by storm!
2. My wonderful sisters who somehow put up with Elder Shanklin's shenanigans! Anybody who can do that for 18 months deserves an award!
Rocky and Philip
We had a teach this week with Rocky and Philip. The Sisters had found Rocky on the street adn passed him off to us, we have awesome sisters in this mission! (Probably because it is the best mission in the entire world!) We met them at a local church which allows people to come in and talk about faith together. Rocky was pretty open to what we were teaching, but Philip had already met with missionaries before, and really was only there to prove us wrong. I think the most incredible thing was to watch how the Spirit took over. As we taught, the guiding influence of the spirit was so apparent. As we invited them to read in the Book of Mormon and read Moroni 10:3-5 the spirit exploded! Never had I felt the spirit so strongly. Instantly neither Philip nor Rocky could say anything. They sat and listened as the Spirit testified. I honestly felt a little like Nephi when it said that those who he taught could not disbelieve his words. Sadly they both chose to ignore that feeling. However we left with a feeling that we had done what the Lord would have done. We testified bodly, nobly, and the Spirit was present!
Choir Concert
Wait? Elder Shanklin sang in a choir? Yes, probably not well, but yes I did sing. It was Trondheims 33rd annual Sing Julen Inn. We also had a missionary musical number, and we sang Rudolph.

MLC
Because of the Christmas concert was on Sunday night we could not leave for MLC until Monday morning. We woke up at 4:30 so we could make our flight, and since I have the same trait that my Dad had, namely if I wake up and start moving I can not fall back asleep, I knitted the whole time. MLC was awesome, and it was so much fun to see everybody again. On the way to the airport the Assistants had to drive us because the train to the airport was down. I was fine with that because it gave me some time to be with the boys again! I spent the ride just talking with Elder Garlick and McCourt and it was so much fun! The big conversation was about how we went from riding in the back seat of the mission van when we came to Norway, to one of us driving the van, two of us being APs, and the other one a zone leader... Time goes by way to fast!

I watched an awesome video this morning about how we as humans need to focus more on the spiritual and remember who we are! It was amazing, and I would reccomend that everyone watch it (here is the link: https://www.mormonchannel.org/watch/series/hope-works/spiritual-beings-and-the-human-experience-matt-townsend). Just as Paul said
" For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring."
We are God's children. Remember that! We have divine potential. The Creator of the Universe is on your team! He loves you!
