The Love Of A Parent-Drammen Week Sixty Six

I wanted to just share a quick experience from this week. Yesterday we were able to participate in a family home evening with a young family. It was so much fun. Being with those two adorable little kids, and seeing their parents lovingly explain the small and simple parts of the gospel to them, was a learning experience for me. The tender love of a parent is not withheld when a child messes up. As the small children would eat dinner messily, or play a little too loud, never was their an absence of love from these two wonderful parents. I imagine it is almost exactly how our Heavenly Father feels. He looks at us as we, metaphorically, eat dinner messily or play a little too loud, and gently says "Why don't we try doing this instead?" All with a beaming smile on His face. The love of our Father in Heaven, just as a parent's love, is without guile and only desires that which is best for the child. This is the type of love that will change people's lives. This type of love is the most important thing in the world, because when we understand it, we understand this simple, but powerful statement in the scriptures that "God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son.." I do not know why this message seems so powerful to me at this moment, but I love it. I know that my Father in Heaven loves me, and as of right now I am working my tail off so one day I can return to Him!

Take time to right down your question, if you do not have one ask in prayer what you should ask! Problem solved! This is going to be incredible! Take time to listen to the Lord's anointed servants.
