First off I guess I should let everyone know that I am staying in Drammen, and Elder Garlick will be headed to Oslo to be Assistant to the President. It was surprising because we both thought that I most likely would be moving! hahaha! I am really stoked to be here another one though, and with Elder Welch, who I have heard tons of good things about! This is gonna be a great transfer!

Questions
Q: What is new in Drammen?
A: Erlend has a baptismal date!! It is super exciting! He has come to church almost every single week I have been in Drammen and so we just asked him the question, "What is the biggest reason you have not been baptized?" His answer was "I don't know how..." Big fail on our parts! Hahahaha! He has accepted a date for October 13! It is gonna be awesome! We also had an incredible family who we had found a while ago and got contact with them! Their daughter who was on exchange in Utah and they went to visit and loved it! They got to see General Conference, got priesthood blessings, and even got to go into a temple open house!!!!! They have had so many experiences, and it is incredible to see all the ways the Lord has called out to them that this is his church! They have had even more experiences with the Church since being home. A member gave us them as a referral! WOWOWOWOWOW!!! So blessed to be here!
Q: How many people do you talk to on the streets in a day?
A: Well it is actually a lot more on buses and doors than on the street! hahaha!! A lot different than Oslo, where we spent a lot of time with on the gågate! We usually will talk to a good amount of people, but it comes a lot through contacting people on buses because we have a lot of member appointments.
Q: Weather?
A: Well it was pretty darn hot, but a cold front blew just as Elder Garlick's knee predicted. If you do not remember Elder Garlick's knee has the ability to predict the weather. More acurately than any weather man. It is almost fall weather here so about 50 or 60 degrees everyday. Usually rains a little bit as well.
Q: What are some things that Norwegian do for fun?
A: Hiking! Soccer! Pølser! Soccer! Knitting! More Soccer!
Q:What sports do they play in the fall? Do they have high school sports?
A: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter are all soccer season. They do not have high school sports, but do have club sports and since the clubs are based in different regions it is basically your high school that plays on the club. However schools and sport clubs are not directly related!
That was a lot of questions and I hope you read them all because that is basically my weekly email! I love these members here and got a few pictures with them because I thought I would be leaving! Oh well!!
This week we had a teach with a man and his two friends that believed very strongly in the Bible. As we talked there belief was that the Bible was it, if anyone ever said anything against the Bible then they were a liar and could not be right. I thought to myself how lucky we are to have a living day prophet, and that through him we can receive the Lord's words and will for this generation. God did not just deliver the Bible to us and say "Alright figure it out!" He did what He has always done. As our loving Heavenly Father, He reached out in love and care and called a prophet to lead and guide His children today, just as he did in times of old. For surely God loves us just as much as He loved those that came before us! I am thankful for Joseph Smith and that our Father called him to be a prophet and to restore Christ's church! I am equally as grateful that we today have a prophet that speaks to the world!
