Soccer game? Injuries??
I played Keeper and no one was hurt. Read paragraph labeled: Why The Average American should not play soccer, for more information
Why The Average American Should not Play Soccer*
There are several reasons that we, as the general public, should not play soccer. First and foremost, sparc soccer, or playing til you were about 10, does not make you a soccer player. In fact you may be more confused as you realize very quickly that the opponent you are now facing is not another 10 year old who has no idea what they are doing, but a full grown European who was born juggling a soccer ball! Second, as Americans we are not inclined to use our feet. Just as the cat feels uncomfortable in water, as Americans sports that use our feet are not in our comfort bubble. Lastly, realize that in this sport you are severely out skilled. Exhibit A, We played against people that were 5-10 years younger then us in the tournament, we lost 7-0. Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury I rest my case with that evidence!
The games were actually a lot of fun, but we did get crushed. We did not know exactly what we were doing, but it is okay! The highlight would be that we played against Oslo, who is really good, and they only scored twice! Not too shabby!
*This does not apply to all Americans. If you have played soccer for long enough this does not apply to you.

The Work
Everything is going well here with the work! We need to find a few more people to begin teaching, but that is just kinda how it is! This wednesday though we started teaching a young man named Erlend. He is the boyfriend of a member. He came to the Eliassens for dinner and then we taught him! It was incredible because Erlend and Brother Eliassen both have dyslexia and it was incredible to see Brother Eliassen bare powerful testimony that as Erlend read in the Book of Mormon he would be able to understand more and it would not be difficult to read the Book of Mormon! What a tender mercy that the Lord prepares people in so many different ways!
Well another week, another Pday! I am just so thankful to be able to serve here in Norway and work hard! Something I think is important to realize is how the Lord blesses us! Not always does He bless us in the way we want Him to and most of the time it is not the way we think He is going to. There will, however, always be blessings because we are obedient. One of the greatest blessings I think the Lord has given unto me, and gives to each and everyone of us, is a blessing which is of great worth. The opportunity to bless and lift His other Children. What great blessing is there than this? None, the Lord said it best when he said
"And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!" (Doctrine and Covenants 18:15)
Sometimes in life we spend countless years trying to find our lives, not realizing that the Savior of the World has given us the simple formula on how to find it.
"...he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it."
Take some time this week to lose your life. To earnestly and lovingly serve those around you, that is what the Savior taught, that is what this Gospel and this Church is about!
