The Spirit Of God Like A Forest Fire Is Burning-Drammen Week Fifty Seven

Wow... Never have I understood the phrase "The days go by like weeks, but the weeks go by like days" until now. This is just going way to fast, already again we begin a new transfer with new moves and everything! Luckily Elder Garlick and I will be staying for round two together! Elder McCourt our other companion from the MTC will be going to the office so we will get to see him too! It is gonna be a great transfer!

Pick Up Ball

First off the thought of me playing pick up ball... Yeahh, but in Norway it is a different story. I am like the equivalent of like Andre Iguodala. Not a super start, but just an average joe, but I could fend for myself. We were going to play basketball with one of the APs investigators, but he had to cancel. Well great now we have to change back into proselyting clothes and... Wait, what if we just went to see if there are people at the court we could play with. Got their and played some 4v4. Got a return appointment to play next week and if the APs win they get to teach them the first lesson! Missionary work can be done anywhere and can be fun!! Get creative people!

This is where the subject line comes from! We had an appointment with him and had no idea who he was because he was a referal from the Asker Sisters. We got the appointment for sunday after church. Well after thirty minutes of trying to get to the church (Maybe because a typo we sent him) he got to the church. Teaching the first lesson was incredible and when Elder Garlick quoted the first vision and Joseph's experience the spirit just EXPLODED!!!! The spirit was so strong. Immediately after we asked him what he felt and he send "det traff meg veldig hardt" or "That hit me really hard!" He said he knew that Joseph Smith was a prophet and would be baptized on Sepetember 15!!!! GET READY BOYS AND GIRLS!!!!

Honestly this week I just want to let every know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God!! Not that I believe that he is a Prophet, my belief in that does not change the appointment of God. I know that he is a prophet because it is a universal truth. God chose him to restore his church in these latter days! The only church with the fullness of the everlasting Gospel! I am so thankful for Joseph Smith and everything he went through and I love his quote about how much persecution he would have to endure. He said "Perhaps I am meant to swim in deep waters... better deep than shallow!" What a statement! That is a prophet of God!
