God Loves Us With All His Heart-Drammen Week Sixty

This week was awesome and full of quite a few miracles! It was awesome to people able to work hard, but even better was hearing how hard the members are working!

Our Ghanaian(?) Friend

We were having a good time contacting and I thought that we should walk to the church. Which is not normal, because not many people walk that direction. As we continued to walk I got really sweaty in my jacket so I said I needed to stop and take it off. The nearest location was a bus stop so we stopped and i took of my backpack to put my jacket into it. Two people showed and were looking really confused as they looked at the bus stop. The lady asked if we worked for the buses because of our shirts. We told her no but we could help. She explained how this man, our soon to be Ghanaian friend, needed help getting somewhere. Then she realized we were missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ and said to the man "You are in good hands!" We helped this man and his daughters get to their school and he said he would love to come to church! Two days later we saw him in the city while we where on the bus, but when we got off to find him he was gone... Fast forward to yesterday when we were going home and the bus and Elder Garlick says "It would be cool to see our Ghanaian friend again!" Guess what happened next, yeah you guessed it he walked right on the bus! We will be seeing him this Sunday! He did not get our message with the address last week, but miracles happen!

Splits with Elder McCourt

Went on splits with Elder McCourt on Saturday! It was a party! We had a ton of fun and had an awesome contacting session! Met a lot of awesome people! Lots of fun conversations and getting to testify of the truth of the restored church!

Members!!!!!

Yesterday on Sunday we had 3 members come up to us and tell us about the experiences they had with sharing the gospel with somebody, who wants to learn more!!!! They are literally the best! I was blown away by how incredible they are!!! Every week the members just keep on blowing my mind even more! I am humbled and touched by their desire to find and teach! This is how the Lord has asked us to do the work and I feel so blessed to be apart of it!
The missionaries and the Eliassens

I love the ability to testify of simple yet significant truths! That is perhaps the greatest blessing of being a missionary! The ability to help individuals know that they in fact do have a Heavenly Father that loves them. He always has and always will! As Elder Holland puts it

"The first great truth of all eternity is that God loves us with all of His heart, might, mind, and strength. That love is the foundation stone of eternity, and it should be the foundation stone of our daily life. Indeed it is only with that reassurance burning in our soul that we can have the confidence to keep trying to improve, keep seeking forgiveness for our sins, and keep extending that grace to our neighbor."

I know that He loves, thinks about, and helps us every single day! No matter if you think that or not! He loves us! Nothing will ever change that!

P.S. Please pray for us as we, as a missionary team, play in a soccer tournament this Saturday against the members! We are probably going to be crushed!
