The date is June 11, 2018. A Monday. The war has been going on since the beginning of time. The Enemy does not rest, so neither do we. I have been involved for a year now. Strange to think that for a year I have not seen headquarters. I feel however as this land I am in has become a new home, almost as if my life began here, and nothing else has existed before this. Back to the present though. There is a slight drizzle, the rain is much needed after the weeks of drought that we have had. Headquarters is wondering about the past week though, and how our visit with other allies in the area went. Received a message from headquarters with several bits of exciting news:
1. General Braydon Court Shanklin's birthday will be celebrated with the sending of extra rations to all
2. The Skullcrusher unit was victorious in securing footholds in the 3v3 soccer tournament that was held, the efforts of Captain Ryker Shanklin have greatly inspired us
3. The Toronto, Canada mission will be receiving one of the best soldiers we can send their way, Recruit Wave Maughan
4. To help with the security of the Home front the Shanklin Unit has decided to add a dog to protect from outside dangers
Time to review what has happened this past week. We have had the opportunity to help many of those in the Drammen unit that have needed help.
First and foremost to report on the success of saving those that could be at risk of falling to the enemy we have had much success. On Monday as we were calling we needed to stop an hour early, because our schedule was full. We thank our Father in Heaven for blessing us in such a way! As we met with those that we had called we discovered there willingness to find the truth. Maverick, name not used for the protection of the individual, a young man about 30, stated that he is looking for more truth and trying to cast out all untruth, but is not sure he believes in God. We discussed with him our role as soldiers in the Lord's army and how we were sent two by two for the purpose of helping others to find out. We also had a replay of the same events a few days later with Maggy, a wonderful older lady!
Second we had a beloved Ally that needed help reinforcing his defenses by building of a new wall. He graciously offered to feed us before the hard manual labor to come. The hamburgers were delicious and then the work began. The wall was built almost as if we used legos. As each block was laid on top it would hook into the others. It seemed to be going so well, and we seemed to almost be done. Then the enemy struck. There was not hope. The wall was to unsturdy because we do not put enough support in the back. It fell. We blankly stared for what seemed like hours, all realizing that this wall could not wait another day. We would need to unstack the blocks and start from the beginning. The work continued and eventually we were able to rebuild the wall and leave. Soreness and exhaustion hit us like a wave. I tiredly looked at my companion and said, "That was awesome! Great way to celebrate my year mark!" The older companion looked confused realizing his younger companion was not being sarcastic, but actually had enjoyed the hard manual labor. To celebrate the night we took the rations we had been given and used them to purchase 35 dollars worth of candy!! We believe the father of the household to be a great man, who has been very helpful to our cause. Also, if you ever need someone to be a mafia boss in a movie, he would be perfect.
To continue the report we had our weekly reconnaissance report with our Steadfast Leader Benjamin Weggerson. As we discussed what we had accomplished and how we could change our tactics, a stratagem was planned and will go into effect this week. Looks as though this unit will take Drammen by storm.
This week to help all those in the unit to be better prepared in case of an emergency. We had what was called a preparation day, not to be confused with the missionary term which refers to a day where missionaries are allowed to email and go and explore Norway. We practiced putting out fires with a fire extinguisher, about getting a job/budgeting, and also were able to learn more about how to take care of or vehicles!
This concludes the report of the Drammen Zone Leaders. We will fight everyday. Over and out.
