This Ride Is Going To Fast-Tromso Week Twenty Six

A mission is like a roller coaster. The MTC is like the first uphill slope, it is slow, take forever, but you know that excitement comes once you get to the top! Then comes your first transfer, you fly down the first part of the roller coaster and it has ups, downs, and loopty loops! It is insane! Then it is second transfer, and then third, and then all of the sudden next week is christmas... IT just keep getting faster and faster and faster... The sad part is, is just like a roller coaster you have no control over how fast the ride goes... However you can choose to enjoy every second or just go along for the ride. I would recommend the first of the two options!

Shout Outs!
1. That one bus driver that played "Hips don't lie" when I was on the bus
2. My bed, pillow, and dyna. Without those I would be nothing.
3. Brady and Allison have their 2nd wedding anniversary!!! Party Party!!

Tired...
I have come to the realization that if you ever think that one morning on your mission you will wake up not feeling like you wrestled a polar bears, you are in fact incorrect. I am tired when I wake up, when I contact, and when I lay down at night. However, do not think that this means I am lazy. We hit the streets hard, but let me tell you right now I feel like a semi truck ran me over and then a polar bear piledrived me... I do not wish to be writing this, but because I can not let me adoring public down, I will continue!

Rouven
Rouven received the Aaronic priesthood and I gave it to him! Super cool! Way awesome for him! He also passed the sacrament this Sunday! Sadly Rouven will be leaving this Wednesday to go back to Germany... We had a breakfast at the Millers this morning and played Exploding Kittens (Thanks Momma, that game is a huge hit here!).

LOTS OF SNOW!!!!!
There is enough snow to go up to my waist here... However that is in the more rural areas. However, that is where we go banking... We avoided most of the areas with waist high snow, but we were not able to avoid calf high snow (it reached about the upper third of my calf, is that the animal or body part spelling??). Foolishly, forgot I to put on my boots... My shoes got soaked in about 10 minutes, yet I banked for another 2 hours! Quitting is for the weak and the Lord does not send the weak to Norway! #BestMissionEver!
The first of the snowfall

Northern Lights!!
I decided instead of whipping out my camera I would just enjoy the lights! I was correct to do so! They exploded! Green and purple just streaming across the sky, with it just dancing!! It was incredible!!

All in all folks I am tired but I will leave you with a quote by Joseph Fielding Smith.

"Mormonism, as it is called, must stand or fall on the story of Joseph smith. He was either a prophet of God, divinely called, properly appointed and commissioned, or he was on of the biggest frauds this world has ever seen. There is no middle ground"

There is no middle ground. Joseph either saw God the Father and Jesus Christ or he did not. At this time of the year, especially close to our Savior's birth, I think of the many gifts the savior has given to us, and among them is the Prophet Joseph Smith! He revealed to him the everlasting gospel. Allowing us to be sealed as families and to be able to live with our Father in Heaven again. The Statement that Joseph Smith is a prophet is not to be taken lightly, rather it is to be studied, prayed, and pondered. This year I realize that one of the greatest gifts our Heavenly Father has given to us, was His appearance to answer the humble prayer of a 14 year old boy. I testify with all my heart, with the Holy Ghost as my witness, that Joseph Smith was a Prophet and today we have the gift of the everlasting gospel!
Beautiful Tromso
