Let me first address the
bad news that I have received today... Yes evil has prevailed again and the
righteous have been struck down. BYU lost to Utah 19-13... Maybe one your BYU
will have a good offense but right now we can only hope... This week has
been an amazing one and so many amazing experiences have occurred! Lets get
right into the week!
First time to see the Northern Lights
Monday
We just had a lazy little Pday! Just watched a movie and knitted! The Senior
couple here allowed us to come to there house! They are the best!!
Tuesday
We to check up on Roff
and His family but sadly they were not home. We were a little disappointed
because we both felt very strongly that we should go to Eidkjosen. We decided
we would just knock on some doors in the area. We had some awesome conversations!
We talked with a girl named Sunniva who at first was a little skeptical of the
Book of Mormon, but we were able to help here understand that all she needs to
do is just read it and pray and try. She said she already had a strong
Christian belief, but she took the Book and said she would try! We also talked
with a young man named Derren! We started talking to him in Norwegian but he
told us he is a refugee from South Africa so English would be better! We shared
a little about the restoration, and he took some pamphlets and said he would
look into them but since he was only 18 he was not sure he could be too
interested in Religion. When we told him we were only 18 and 19 he said
"Oh, Wow, I thought you were like 25." He seemed a little bit more
confident in himself after that! We hope to visit both of them soon! It was
amazing that although we felt as if at first we and missed the prompting, we in
fact just misinterpreted it! There were people in Eidkjosen that needed us to
be there!

Wednesday
We visited one of our
members named Petter! He runs an incense company so when we go over to his
house he likes to show us his to incense! It is way fun! We helped him with
moving some stuff around in his apartment. After that we did some contacting,
and Tiril wanted to see what it was like when we contacted someone so she came
along with us. She watched us try to contact a couple people who just said Nei
Takk. We then talked with a young man named Håkon and after talking with him
for a little bit Henrik was walking down the street and stopped and said hi to
us. Henrik actually knew Håkon and told him to "Kjør på" or "Go
ahead and do what they are telling you". Håkon took the book and we are
hoping to meet with him really soon! It was really cool to see how much it excited
Henrik and Tiril when he took the Book of Mormon! Miracles happen all the time
we just have to be working for them!!
Visit to Arvig!
Thursday
We went out to Benta's
farm again and helped her with some work she needed help with some work! We
helped take apart a Silo that was treated with Karresult, a chemical which is
not very safe to handle... However I am alive and doing well! We got to do a
lot of awesome work to help them prepare their farm so they can come back to
church! Service is always fun and something I enjoy a lot! First Northern
Lights tonight! They were amazing, sadly neither of my cameras can capture
them..
So excited to see the Northern Lights
Friday
We got a new
investigator!!! His name is Peter, if you remember we knocked on his door a
couple weeks ago and he told us to come back! We went to check up on him and he
invited us in and we met his roommate Adrian. They are both study law and the
local university. We talked with them a little and just laid down the basis of
what we are doing and why we are on missions. Peter invited us back in two
weeks to talk more! We are excited to see him again! NORTHERN LIGHTS!!! I did
buy a new camera that can actually capture the northern lights so be prepared!
These lights were amazing! We had purple and green and wow! These pictures do
not even capture the half of it!
Saturday
We got out a Book of
Mormon to a man! We are hoping to meet with him soon! We met with President
today because he is here for the District conference! We had an interview with
him and he is one of the nicest and most amazing people I know! We saw Peter
and Adrian at the Supermarket when we went to pick up some stuff! We just
chatted for a minute or two and then went on our ways! It was cool to see they
did not have a issue with talking with us in public!
Sunday
Church today was great
as usual! We went out banking because we did not have Linda tonight, because
she was feeling a little sick. As we were banking we talked with an awesome
young woman from Congo, her name is Tarsil. She had a lot of awesome questions
that we helped her answer! She said she would read the Book of Mormon and we
gave her Alma 32 to read! She was really excited so we obviously can not wait
to meet with her soon!!
These next few weeks we
have the goal of giving out 7 Books of Mormon a week! I can not express how
important it is. The Book of Mormon is not just there to just be there. It can
help answer any question or help you through any trial!
I do not know if I have
shared this video but if I have sorry, but not sorry! This video is how I feel
about the Book of Mormon!
