The Final Countdown-MTC Week Five

How is everyone doing the wonderful Thursday, or whenever you read this, afternoon! This week has been way fun and I really can not wait to share some amazing stories with everyone! Buckle your seat belts and prepare for the ride because I am a little hysterical, I will explain that a little bit later!

Friday
We had our last class with Søster Isaksen. We had a tremendous time! It was such an amazing experience to be able to be taught by someone that was born and raised in Norway! Not only did she teach us about the language but about the culture, and I can tell you right now I am way excited to go to Norway! I also heard a great story from Brother Leighton about him and Brady teaching an Indian man and well it was quite entertaining to say the least hahahaha!!
Sister Isaksen and the Norwegian missionaries

Saturday
Well if any of you remember Diego the amazing janitor we do service with I have some bad news. His fiance did not get her visa renewed so she had to go back to Brazil. That was really hard on Diego so he was not at work on Saturday when we were doing service. If you could keep him in your prayers! Also Eldste Putt and I may or may have not spilled the mop bucket soap water everywhere... You have no evidence... besides the big stain on the carpet... Dinner on Saturday... There was nothing I wanted to eat soooooooooooo... I kinda ate six bowls of cereal... No regrets... maybe a little...  At volleyball we had two awesome spikes that nailed people in the face. Elder Crook nailed his companion, Elder Heaps, right in the face and Elder Winkle nailed Elder Neilson right in the face and that shot him across the court because he was running the opposite direction from the ball. No one was injured today though! The quote for the day was "If you don't look at the ball it can't hit you in the face!"

Sunday
We were able to sit on the front row for the devotional because Elder Garlick, Sister Belus, and Sister Palmer were all playing a special musical number! I figured out me and three other Elders have the exact same suit!! hahahaha!!

Monday
So a super cool spiritual experience early Monday morning! I decided I would wake up to say goodbye to the Danish Elders who were leaving at 3 in the morning. My companions really did not want me to because it could wake them up. I decided that it made sense not to but immediately I had the impression that it would be a really good idea to get up. I told my companions that and they said as long as I was quite. So I woke up at to say good bye ten minutes before they were supposed to go and did not see them anywhere... I was very confused and thought they must have left early, but then I saw their door was closed and the lights were off. The door was supposed to be open and the light on so in the Morning I could make sure it was clean. I decided to go back to bed and just forget about it but immediately I had the prompting to go knock on their room door. Thinking that doing that would literally cause neither me any harm or discomfort I did it. As I knocked I did not here anything so I decided that it was time to get back to bed. Well then I heard voices and Ældste Christensen opened the door and said "Our alarms did not go off". They quickly got ready and thanked me for waking them up and left. I was amazed to see that the Lord new that their alarms were not going to go off and sent me to make sure they did not miss their flight!
I think they all have the same suit on!!

Tuesday
As I have started working out at night, I know crazy right. It is actually really fun, but I literally have the upper arm strength of a toddler so I am trying to fix that... So I also started taking cold showers which is good afterwards but if you know the story of Alma the Younger and when I was racked with eternal torment, that is what it feels like during the shower...
Classroom time

Wednesday
Yesterday we did a skype TRC and taught Brenda Jones. She was born in Mexico, went to school in Norway, and then is living in Canada. Oh she also speaks five languages... Yeah it was awesome!! Also we watched a hour and a half long video literally about not doing stupid stuff like eating raw chicken... Also the guy telling us this had a voice that literally was so monotonous that I was going insane. This is about when the hysteria started kicking in. I think we are okay now but it was a rough hour after that. We also were able to talk to the new Danish Elders today and help them settle in. Yesterday afternoon at volleyball Elder Crook did a jump serve and on of the Sisters was not really paying attention and she got a concussion because the ball nailed her in the face. It is just a really really minor concussion so she should be fine by tomorrow! If you did not know volleyball causes the most injuries at the MTC!
Sharing ties!

I just met two Elders going to the Arkansas, Bentonnville mission Elder Sullivan and Elder Tew! Look for them in a couple weeks!!

Well this is the last email I will be sending from the MTC, next week I will be in Norway!!! I am so excited to go and serve the people there! I can not wait to share with them the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and how much it means to me!
